28th july..
3 more days to e day of my first allowance after e tiring days.. hmm.. next week can be counted officially as my one mth there.. but still there are still tonnes of things for mi to noe.. remember and do.. heard frm ms haseena dat next wed and thurs gonna be taught amenities.. and i haven learn minibar which i am nt required to do.. but i hope to noe how they do it.. midnight trolley for emc oso nt veri sure wad is wad..
well.. today realli gt a stress feel.. yes.. its damn stress.. so much info to load to ur mind.. seems lk its overloading.. today did cashier but this tym parti is lk more strict.. cannot sae i dunno.. but i realli dunno.. wad to do? how to dig out ans to ans him? i saw the drink before but there are so many drinks and stuff i nd to noe and remember.. i am e type where i muz constantly doing the tings den i noe de.. now and then den ask mi to do i dun realli noe de.. i juz feel dat info is overloading at a go.. and e cashier ting is giving mi a hard tym now.. struggling to noe where is e food.. so dat i can key.. see e settings for e rm service.. cuz if too much order.. i dunno how they set it.. so messy.. this one gt bread, bread gt butter and side knife, dat one gt salad.. salad gt wad dressing.. dat one gt fries muz put ketchup.. if ans call, beef burger muz ask doneness.. main course muz tell them wad are e side orders.. and breakfast.. omg.. and dining area.. dining area is fine other den e buffet table set up.. e service somehow i got how they do things.. juz now ms haseena said something.. if u can take stress frm mi.. u can survive anywhere u go.. *something lk dat.. i tink is true.. her style of teaching..

last 2 days (26 & 27 july) nth much to blog cuz it was raining den nt much guest.. hmm.. i keep forgetting dat i shld hold a glass by its stem.. den ms haseena always see me nt holding e stem.. i tink is on the 26.. i did 2 drinks.. pina colada and maitai.. cuz was told to do so.. he show mi wad are e ingredient den i follow e bk.. den remember mr ong saying put the cheapest ingredient first den follow by the expensive.. omg.. its a shaken drink.. den juz shake in e way i tink is correct...
ytd oni gt 2 pax.. a lady wanna give her bf a surprise.. they are both quite nice.. den nth much.. no nd go do e cashier ting wif parti.. so can go off earlier.. so met sourav and gek on train.. as for e cashier ting.. ytd eyes too pain.. total of revenue and all e stuff for BREAKFAST i wrote at e total revenue and stuff for the DAY.. omg..
off on mon again.. 3 consecutive weeks.. tmd sian.. den gt e kuku shift.. 7am-3pm.. den continue on 7pm-11pm.. my shift on sunday is 3-11pm.. den my shift on tues is frm 7am-3pm.. make mi feel dat my off is so short cuz basically wad i can do is slp.. late home = late sleep = late wake up = half of e day gone.. den tues nd work early on top of it nd to do OT so muz sleep early.. seriously i dislike morning.. e tray is tmd heavy.. and e coffee or tea pot is metal type de leh.. den gt so much jam.. den sometimes still gt toaster.. if american breakfast plus toaster dat one realli can die.. muz go gym train myself..

24th july
OT from 9-2pm.. i received a call at ard 8.45am saying actually no nd go so early cuz it was raining.. i realli gt nth to sae.. well.. nth special or anything to link so juz write something oni.. i was let off at 2.30 lk dat and my shift is at 3pm den nd go ard 10 mins earlier den i tot haiz.. e break is so short but haseena ask mi come back at 3.30pm.. hehehe.. thank god.. still can slp..
go for dinner at ard 5.30 when e rest have come back.. noe e secret dat i shld nt haven known.. as i was on the fone while having dinner.. dunno y but tears start to roll down.. and my 2 manager is beside mi.. i tink they no see.. but a dunno which manager who is sitting infront of mi de saw ba.. cuz he keep looking.. but i heck.. juz turn to e wall so he can see e side view.. kinda sad.. but i guess its over so no pt being sad over such tings.. haiz..
den dinner was busy wif the 16 pax ting.. was scolded again cuz i din hear her instruction.. yup.. it was my fault.. so ntht to sae.. but after she saw me leaning on a cupboard.. she ask mi do something.. cuz sleepy le.. den pei parti go settle e cashier ting and i am off~~

tonight damn busy... everyone kena scolded for each of our mistake.. oni parti din get scolded.. haiz.. the guest all suddenly come at e same tym lor.. den mdm was busy wif her tings oni left mi and ariz.. deni nt quite sure wad they do so was kinda messy.. den after service everyone was called to noe where is our mistake.. haiz.. den again do cashier wif parti..
den manage to take last train home.. den go eat prata wif my parents and sis... juz received present frm wendy and yongmei and wishes frm szzj.. realli thanks! got a soft toy and a voucher~~ tink i going to spend the voucher on wallet.. hahaha.. 2ml OT again..

21st july
it was raining when i was there.. hmm.. do e same ting again.. today de buffet gt 7 pax.. hahaha.. more den fri.. mi and ariz was in charge.. den i took care of e 5 pax he took care of e 2 pax but oso gt help mi out.. den my table gave a 10 dollars tip for our service.. whoo~ and a couple who got a special service and seating oso tip us.. hmmm.. but at abt 8pm.. mdm told us she taking us to makan after work.. so called all e staff and meet at e entrance there.. den go lau pa sat to eat.. so when its almost tym.. can see teamwork.. each gt something to do.. den veri fast one.. chop chop den done.. i count linen.. keep e skirtings of the table.. den 3 guys go keep e table den i polish e cutleries..
haiz.. i am e oni ger excluding mdm.. so total gt 8 guys.. den some tease me.. and.. em.. nth to sae.. alamak they call rice.. den gt kangkong, egg, satay, squid, stingray and cockles.. but i din eat much cuz i dun lk rice and supper can gain weight so try to control wad i eat.. den my bro came.. but mdm oso call for rice and all dat.. realli tahnks.. but he is full.. thanks to mdm for e treat~

20th july
work right frm BP open till it closed.. yes i see how it close wif parti oni.. so shld sae dat i am e first to reach.. last to leave.. work frm 7-11pm.. my break tym are.. 1.30pm to abt 2.50pm cuz nd go back earlier as my shift start at 3pm.. den 5.30pm to 6.10pm.. dats my break tym.. and i tink i am e last to ask to go for my dinner... nt counting e manager.. haiz.. maybe someone dun lk mi so i am always e last to go.. and always is SHE ask mi go for break.. seems to mi dat she is e oni one who will pity ppl.. first break oni drank water and eat fruits.. oni e 2nd one gt eat noodles..
and i was cursing and swearing at nite when i buay tahan liao.. cuz really super sleepy.. e day b4 i was let off at 10.. den slept at 1 plus den sleep 4 hrs den nd wake up le.. den early morning i bao ga liao den still kena "suan xiao" he at there toking den i doing e setting, take order, prepare drinks,coffee.. help keep e tings cuz gt spring cleaning.. den i din notice my order is ready den he sae i still sleeping.. YES! I AM STILL SLEEPING cuz i oni SLEPT FOR 4 HRS+ so how energetic can i be especially i am e type who nds a lot of sleep.. tmd tmd.. i am there for OT cuz jason is mc so help out cuz other ppl oso gt do OT... and teamwork.. but e way he treat ppl is lk.. i dunno how to sae la.. but 4 words.. 'įŽéčå'.. haiz wad to do.. he is M i am T.. so shut up my mouth and do!

BUT another guest came in.. abt 10.20pm?? den do cashier wif parti.. tmd.. dunno wad went wrong.. so as i was writing half way.. he sae STOP.. den e bill for e day gt to REPRINT again which means ALL nd ro rewrite.. agrhhh!! heng my bro go fetch mi so can faster reach home.. today 3-11pm~~ finally after i off on mon.. tues to fri working OT everyday.. 4 days of OT.. haiz.. tired~~

18 th july..
ytd work OT till abt 6.30pm.. i start work at 7.. siann.. today work 9-1 de.. but extend to 2pm cuz shortage of ppl.. today parti, yan and jason is off and ariz is on mc.. so left mi, nathan, tj and alvin.. so alvin and tj work frm morning till nite.. i tink alvin work 7am-10pm.. and tj 8am-11pm.. den i 9-11pm lor.. i oni gt break frm 2.10-2.55 lk dat cuz muz go earlier.. den go slp instead.. den oni gt dinner break at ard 5 plus.. tmd.. hungry.. but e noodles nt nice.. so all in all i OT abt 5 hrs.. ytd OT 3 hrs.. so if nt wrong i shld have extra $40 dollars? hopefully..
today quite a number of times i am alone in e outlet la.. they expect mi to be able to be independent.. at one pt of tym i nd to watch e poolside if guest wan bill and on the other side.. whether e GM and other manager or EAM have arrived.. cuz nd to serve them.. and another pt of tym.. where i am on the fone wif a guest i tink and e other fone is ringing.. there gt 3 fone.. den how to ans?? no one help to ans.. den no choice..
raining cats and dogs in the morning at abt 11- 12 plus? den e outlet lk flooding cuz is outdoor.. and e rain can lk "splash" in so many tings were wet.. trays.. tables.. chairs.. cutleries.. den did some rm service.. den dinner i do dining alone~ sir and ms haseena dunno go where.. but gt one tym ms haseena find something to do cuz no guest.. but after dat gt 2 pax.. den i do everything by myself other den ms haseena sit e guest and gave menu.. she gt teach mi wad muz i do so juz follow suit.. den did e clearing all by myself also.. her expectation is lk she dun wan to spoon feed ppl(especially shatec students though she is one of e students oso) so wad she sae.. juz do.. and hopefully independent..
somehow i lk e way haseena do tings.. she will compliment u for doing something correct or gd.. she will pat u or sae excellent or "yes.. this is the way"... though when i do something wrong.. i cannot stand her scoldings.. and she lk to upsell upsell and UPSELL.. she told mi e reason to upsell.. yea.. i agree but going every 15 mins abit weird la.. cuz they dun wan means they dun wan.. no matter how many times u go.. so i tinking of a proposal to help improve on this so no nd upsell oso gt revenue.. but still no idea.. headache.. sometimes she will tell u why she wan u to do this.. den today she give mi e feel of nt being neglected.. when i am e oni one in e dining area... she will come tell mi someting or ask mi do something... den sometimes when i nth to do.. she will give mi things to do.. (perhpas i am still new?) its e 3rd week le.. so i am trying to minimise on asking qn or doing wrong tings..

went emc to pick up food de one tym.. a chef was scolding or rather saying how their kitchen look lk.. he is fierce.. i heard him saying its f**king messy.. omg.. sometings he sae de i agree.. kitchen shld look neat and tidy so as to look hygiene.. juz lk e koko crunch box they stack up.. den he said.. dun u tink dat by arranging them in equally as in nt some high some low stacking will give a better image? cuz the way the staff initially stack is some high some low.. din see him b4 oso.. dunno is it their head chef..

went to work as usual but b4 dat went to met gek den go PS together.. go eat kfc den go shop shop ard.. but i am always stuck at comic connection.. initially i decided to buy something to paste at my locker le cuz too empty.. den i saw this 3R foto ting.. and i bought arashi's so qi guai cuz i saw 56 de but din buy theirs.. hahahaha.. at home see poster can liao.. den its tym i shld leave.. arbo gonna be late..
when changing.. e washup aunty ask if i am frm blue potato.. and started to tell mi abt e washup ting.. muz send by 3 and blah blah blah.. i nearly late.. but go there den nth much today.. and yup.. ytd i finally noe wad does it means by bullets coming out of my asst manager mouth.. she go lk mashine gun.. da da da da da.... non-stop.. repeating.. BUT e main ting is SHUT UP.. dats wad i am taught.. and its true.. but if she scold also correct la.. its my own fault.. did some rm service today.. hmm.. remember e correct sequence.. den help to ans 2 fone calls.. gt order~ i tried to upsell BUT they dun wan lei..

2nd dae of orientation.. quite ok.. more jokes was on e role play cuz we each gt to tink of something to act.. funny part is on e hula hoop exercise.. we got to hold hand den pass the hula hoop to one another.. e hoop is our guest and we are all staff of the hotel.. this is to show teamwork.. den at last we gt 4 guest and wif 12 staff we manage to finish e cycle by 29 secs! i tink thanks to jay and yow feng.. cuz both of them go thru the hoop together! ahahaha..

when its abt 2.20pm.. sir ask mi go poolside serve sandwich.. so walk there to serve le give guest bill.. but she gave mi a 50 bucks.. den i gonna walk back to cashier to take change and walk back.. den she wanted more ketchup.. so nd walk back to take and serve her..
den go solemnisation there standby.. weather nt veri gd.. den e guest toking to mi.. so i wun be dat bored.. more guest came but all dun wan sit so nth to do.. ceremony start den they go sit.. ended quite fast but alan sae sir ask him take over cuz sir nd to brief mi abt e people developer ting..
when done i go act busy, find things to do.. nathan ask mi look after while he do rm service.. den go till ard half hr still nt back.. kns.. den i nd go emc take chix rice.. their order paper run out le so no see e order den i nd wait longer for them to prepare.. haiz! tot can leave after i go up.. but sir wan mi do rm service.. nathan wan mi go minibar store to put something.. omg.. i dunno where is e store.. den nathan wan ask yan do this 2 ting.. den sir sae ask mi do rm service.. tmd.. late liao still...... finally off by 5.30 phew~
went to malaysia for wedding dinner.. siann.. food nt nice.. din realli have a table for us.. and rain was heavy on the way back.. custom jam till siao.. slept at 2 plus cuz nd record this post in case i 4get..

MY BIRTHDAY! woke up at 6 plus to prepare to go work.. den slept awhile while waiting for the tym.. feeling cold den i wore jacket.. but when i awake it isn't dat cold.. lazy to take off den wear to work.. lk alien lk dat.. cuz no one wore jacket.. den go take uniform le change liao go up e function rm for orientation..
i was e first to reach.. sian.. den all i dunno de... den e other guy (ejay)frm shatec de sit beside mi.. zhen qiao.. den tok abit wif him.. den GM came wif other managers.. he quite gd... din realli put on airs.. pour tea for mi and others.. den chit chat wif mi oso.. e sales and marketing manager recognise mi cuz i serve him at e GM cocktail reception.. hahaha..
nearly fall asleep during e lectures.. nt enuff sleep.. den go lunch.. i tot i was alone.. but some guys sit near mi den ejay sat infront of mi.. e sir who gave us tok de sit beside mi.. den after e sir left.. i tok to ejay lor.. after lunch we go tour.. abit more clearer abt e hotel.. den the guys made alot of joke as we go round tour.. when we go inside life they will sae.. doors closing.. den go guest rm to see they ring e bell and dunno sae wad bell service and rm check ting.. quite funny.. den lecture again.. security part is sian.. den e manager tok veri soft..

such a nice number dae today.. so there is 3 solemnisation in our hotel.. i tink one is at 11.30, follow by 2pm and 5 pm.. sound shiok? tired de is us.. today work 12 noon de shift.. go there.. den din do much tings den sir ask mi go stand by at the dining area to prepare for the GM coctail reception.. i still blur blur tot dat is a solemnisation cocktail reception till my manager told mi.. den go help till 1.30 lk dat den e ting finish liao.. den go set up dining are for nite tym de buffet till abt 3? den do briefing.. den was taught how to do e bill.. den busy wif some poolside guest and answering some calls.. den can go break..
ate wif alvin cuz the rest busy.. den when come back.. i actually nd to keep those washing de tings and polish cutleries but i was told to help out wif e solemnisation cuz they nd help.. but nathan ask mi to wash some glasses for him.. den oso dunno why.. den i suddenly go do e washing for all e wine glass, high ball glass.. rm service teapot and those stuff.. lk nv ending de washing keep gt glasses one.. one big square tray after another.. somemore is HAND wash.. den some time nd to attend to poolside guest.. take order den help to serve and bill and all dat..
e bill is quite easy but still i can 4get some steps.. den when everything was done.. wad i nd to do is to press print.. den i dunno y suddenly dunno how to do.. den e manager press for mi and was lk irritated.. HAIZ!
anyway.. conclusion for today is do washing frm abt 6 plus to 7 plus.. den 10 mins to 8 i nd to do rm service.. a guest ordered 2 hot chocolate den i gt to serve... 4get dat DND de room no doorbell den i still press till so suang.. but in the end i knock the door cuz he lk cannot hear mi and my hand cannot take it le! one hand nd flip e bill ting see i gt go wrong rm nt.. den e other taking a big square tray.. kns.. den on the way down saw my rm service de tray den gonna help clear it oso den i juz bring it down.. heavy~~ den after clearing e tray.. i tell sir i go home lo~~~~~

5th july
go work 10 mins before cuz sir sae muz go earlier to read e communication bk.. heng i gt go earlier.. cuz e laudry auntie gib mi larger uniform.. den e normal one gib mi a smaller size one.. god man.. look so weird in e damn big uniform.. den saw yan at e lift there... go up read read den briefing again.. first ting is test promotion again.. den almost everyone was tested.. parti was happy ba.. cuz he is nt tested.. den go polish cutleries for e 25 pax at nite.. den at 4pm gt food tasting den in one hr muz be done.. plus peter no go take e black top table cloth.. den heng when sir was rushing mi.. i am done wif e side plates.. haha
den go do setting.. blah blah den oni by 4.30 den e food tasting ting start.. i tink is for sunday lunch a la carte? 15 july or something one.. den muz taste write down how it is lk den noe wads inside so dat can promote.. den F&B manager was there.. and i tink one guy is e GM.. both are friendly... den by 5pm can go break~~ e food is as usual.. den yan go pei her fren den i go toilet den go up.. but by the tym i wan go up she is in e lift coming down to get apron.. i almost 4got..
den when go up.. as usual went to polish cutleries den sir ask one senior server to bring mi to a office to take menu.. den when he leave mi to go back e restaurant he was lk so unsure.. perhaps i seem blur? but i manage to get back.. den i wan polish cutleries again.. BUT tony ask mi whether i noe how to go EMC take chinese oriental food nt.. haiz.. i oni noe where is e restaurant dunno e kitchen.. den he ask mi go down wif him den he show mi.. den when come up i wan continue polishing but he ask mi noe how to do rm service nt.. i oni went once so was quite unsure.. but frm e way i carry tray.. he took it frm mi and ask mi watch.. den take e bill nia.. den as usual.. follow behind him and see how he do it.. den come back to finish my polishing again..

TJ came to help out.. den sir and peter oso helping out.. no wine opener.. so pathetic.. all lk waiting for one wine opener.. den i tot of petals and rosette.. each gt one den can open.. but i was satisfied wif myself cuz this tym round i can pour e white wine w/o much spillage.. nt lk rosette.. haiz.. and e guest veri gd.. den they keep ordering wine.. no champagne.. siann cuz sir ask mi to sell one bottle.. but guest keep ordering red and white wine.. i was sweating lk hell cuz there is hot den i nd go 2 rounds to ask all e guest for bread den tell them wad we have.. omg..
den each oni carry 2 plates.. dats enuff.. cuz its heavy.. and gt ard 6 serving? so its fastden chop chop jiu done.. its oni messy when e wine ting.. cuz we nd to record wad drinks they ordered.. den some beer some this.. plus shortage of wine opener... den i told sir abt one bottle of wine den he lk hiu mi den i told parti.. and when he heard he sae in those gan jiong tone sae no nd tell 2 person arbo ltr open 2 wine.. but ltr he was lk kind of saying sorry cuz he tend to speak louder int hose situation.. i din take it to heart cuz i understand.. den when he was saying den i was oni lk ya.. i understand and all e stuff cuz i was tinking of something and looking at guest..
here and there he ask mi some qn.. den when serving a dish for 4 ppl for them to share.. i done wif long table and dunno hu oso help serve e dish.. den i was lk.. eh.. my long table done already.. den sir was lk u muz tell him.. halo.. so busy how i noe he go help.. cuz i oni noe i serving nia.. den i sae i din noe he was serving den manager din sae anything oso..

alvin oso help mi to take coffee and stuff cuz i nt familiar.. den done liao go set-up buffet ting for 2ml cuz fri and sat is buffet.. den i walk to bar area dunno when and for wad.. juz nice.. sir ask mi go take bill to guest.. cuz bar and the lady at poolside is separated by the swimming pool den tony and sir was pointing opp. omg.. so dark how to see.. somemore i wear specs de leh.. den e lady wave at mi.. hahaha.. easy job but on the way i saw coule kissing la.. so paiseh den i act till i nv see..
den nathan, tony and peter were there discussing hu to take e washing stuff den i in e end i was ask to do.. tmd super heavy too many chinaware and stuff.. den actually peter ask mi to miss call him when i reach e lift cuz e lift dunno wad la.. but i juz press and it came down so i no call him den i reach he sae he heard e sound of the plates so he press e lift..

4th july
early morning go buy those flat de show so dat at least my foot dun hurt dat much.. den go HR took my pass + schedule le.. siann.. out of 52 weeks.. 24 weeks i am at "blue potato" but nt lian xu one.. den christy teach mi how to use it.. can't get it right den she do it for mi..
den faster go change and report for work.. briefing first.. heng ytd i gt write down e promotions.. wad card gt wad promo.. den finish~ go do setting at ard 3.35? den all no table cloth and all dat.. gt 11 tables.. den tony tell yan dat we muz finish e setting by 4.30.. heng can finish.. arbo i oso dunno wad will happen.. den go fold a few napkin den go makan.. wha lao eh... their food really CMI la.. see le FULL liao den i juz eat 2 mouth of wad i take.. so wasteful.. the rest i throw away.. i can only drink..

today better den ytd.. cuz gt another china girl call yan to pei mi.. i reach almost on tym.. but most of the staff is already there doing things le.. shock.. den report to manager.. scared ltr he sae no see mi den die.. den report to nathan.. the senior captain.. den start work wif e setting.. all done.. e most impt ting i 4get.. i tink is e wine glass or something.. their breakages is high cuz e glass is lk super fragile.. damn scared when polishing.. again.. same ting we learn b4.. use hot water to polish..
den finish all e setting when e guest for afternoon de have left.. den was asked to go take abit of ice.. go there den remember i dun understand by their abit.. den juz anyhow take... hurt my small finger cuz of the cafeteria door.. but no nt dat pain le.. first tym take ice..
